Jean Throop Book Award: Municipal Chapter of Toronto IODE

Since 1974, the Municipal Chapter of Toronto IODE has presented annually the Jean Throop Book Award (with cash prize of $2000) to encourage excellence in children’s literature. IODE represents the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire and is a women’s charitable organization "dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals through education support, community service and citizenship programs."

On April 7, 2012 at the annual dinner and meeting of IODE Toronto, the winner of the 2012  Municipal Chapter of Toronto IODE Jean Throop Book Award was presented to...
