BC Book Prizes: 2017 finalists announced


On March 7th, the West Coast Book Prize Society announced the finalists for the 2017 BC Book Prizes. Prizes will be awarded in the following seven categories:
  • Fiction 
  • Non-Fiction 
  • Poetry 
  • Regional 
  • Children's Literature 
  • Illustrated Children's Literature 
  • Booksellers' Choice 

There is also the 

  • Lieutenant Governor's Award for Literary Excellence.

2016 BC Book Prizes finalists announced


On March 9th, the West Coast Book Prize Society announced the finalists for the 2016 BC Book Prizes. Prizes will be awarded in the following seven categories:

  • Regional 
  • Children's Literature 
  • Illustrated Children's Literature 
  • Booksellers' Choice 

There is also the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Literary Excellence which will be announced separately and later this month.

On Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Government House in Victoria,  the West Coast Book Prize Society announced the winners of the 2014 BC Book Prizes.  Of the seven categories, two are specific to youngCanLit: the awards for Children's Literature and for Illustrated Children's Literature.

The 29th Annual BC Book Prizes awards gala will be held on Saturday, May 3 at the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel in Vancouver. Gala tickets include a sit down dinner and an open bar and are available for purchase online here
