Atlantic Canada's Hackmatack Children's Choice Book Award program is just wrapping up for the 2012-2013 year but the nominees for the 2013-2014 Hackmatack Awards have already been announced. During the next school year, young readers of ages 9 to 12 years in Atlantic Canada will have the opportunity to read from four lists of ten nominated titles:
English Fiction, English Non-Fiction, French Fiction and French
Non-Fiction. Reading of these nominees will begin in September and run through until end of March, with voting taking place at the end of that period. Although there is no rush to start reading, it's always wonderful to recognize these authors, illustrators and publishers for these nominations. Congratulations and félicitations!
