Victoria Book Prizes: Bolen Book Children's Book Prize

On September 11, 2013, the Victoria Book Prize Society of Victoria, British Columbia announced the shortlists for its two book awards, one of which is dedicated to books for young people, the Bolen Books Children's Book Prize.

These shortlisted nominees, selected by a jury of representatives from the literary community, will be honoured and the Bolen Books Children's Book Prize of $5,000 announced on October 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Union Club of Victoria.  Tickets for this event are available for purchase.

The three nominated titles, written by authors from the capital region of Victoria, that have been short-listed for this award are:
